‘Epstein Files’ Release, Hyped by Pam Bondi, Falls Short of Expectations For days, Attorney General Pam Bondi had talked about releasing the “Epstein files,” supposedly secret documents the federal government has on some of the powerful men who were in the orbit of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. But the roughly 200 pages of documents that Ms. Bondi released on Thursday contained little new information pointing to wrongdoing by anyone other than Mr. Epstein, a registered sex offender who died in jail. The document dump largely consisted of flight logs for Mr. Epstein’s planes — long ago made public — and contact information for hundreds of associates, along with brief descriptions of items found at his residences. https://archive.ph/Q491P It's clear what happened. After hyping what was in the documents that were to be released, the reveal of the documents fell flat. So now Bondi is claiming that an unidentified source claims that there are thousands more documents. Let's see if those documents exist and, if so, what's in them. The conspiracy loons have been claiming that there's a client list even though none of the people involved in civil litigation against the Epstein estate have made that claim. It's amazing what how deranged the right wing has become. Remember Donald Trump leading the birther charge. I wonder how many of those posting here subscribed to that. Come to think of it, how many still subscribe to it. Then there the William Barr and John Durham tag team attempting to prove a deep state conspiracy in the Justice Dept. A probe that lasted 4 years and came up with nothing. And the stolen election nonsense. I believe Pam Bondi was deeply involved in that ludicrous failure. And what about Hunter Biden's laptop? There was actually nothing in there incriminating against Joe Biden. Which is probably why the people who held released it held onto it until the election was close to being held. And, of course all the investigations of Joe Biden's alleged involvement with Hunter Biden's schemes. That resulted in another 0 score for Team Trump. -

Thailand's Cybersecurity Initiative Hits Illegal Cable Networks
Picture courtesy of Bangkok Post Thailand's telecom watchdog, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), is ramping up efforts to stop cybercriminals. They're teaming up with the Department of Highways to target illegal cable networks found near bridges leading to neighboring countries. Focusing on 17 major bridges, the NBTC aims to protect national security from potential threats. Trairat Viriyasirikul, acting Secretary General of the NBTC, shared that recent operations with local police and the Technology Crime Investigation Division 3 unveiled unauthorized cable setups near the first Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. These cables were traced directly to Laos. Prompted by discoveries from last year, the NBTC is intensifying efforts this year to ensure telecom operators label their networks for easier identification. Investigations also revealed wireless antennas installed at a hotel with clear views of Laos, only 1.24 kilometers away. Furthermore, they found a dish capable of sending signals 30 kilometers across the border, situated just 936 meters from it. Trairat emphasized the potential risks posed by such equipment, close to foreign territories, warning about the facilitation of illegal cyber activities. Those involved will be prosecuted under the Radio Communications Act, facing penalties up to 100,000 baht or five years in prison. Ongoing raids have now extended to the border areas of Nong Khai province, as teams are determined to dismantle these networks and stop cyber threats from gaining a foothold, reported The Thaiger. -- 2025-02-28 -

I could be watching some crappy TV series etc... I've wasted enough money today investing poorly (not a good day for that)..... Thus - the escapism of chatting on he re-sets the brain little before I go too deeply into the rabbit hole of the other 'stuff' I'm doing... Then... son gets back from school.... its time for a swim and a beer... perhaps out for dinner and I can forget the idiocy of what I've witnessed on this forum today !!!!
