Where can one buy a document camera (at a reasonable price) which is able to copy the image of a book page/ map/ or any flat surface onto the screen (through the projector). Like the "opaque projector" in the olden days...

I looked a few years ago in BKK and they were very expensive compared to Singapore or America. Thanks.

most smart phones/ tablets can scan documents etc but it sounds like you are looking for more like an overhead projector for teaching or something.

Yes, I teach at one of the international schools that do not have document cameras in the classroom. I need this tool in order to show a page out of a book (such as a map), a student's composition, or a handout onto the screen.

You can get projectors easy enough, link that to a laptop and you have what you need, scan the work into the laptop and then project from the laptop.

The ols style overheads would be almost impossible to get these days. I see loads on ebay but all in the USA from $10 up
