According to the website news section, Glitterman has left Pattaya and returned to the UK.

I miss his delightful posts on here.smile.png

Say it ain't so sad.png

He's part of Pattaya folklore - like the dodgy hookers on Beach Rd and the smelly drains etc..

I'll miss him - he always puts a smile on my face when pedalling aboot.

Just one less nutter in Thailand.

Nutter? I guess you never read stickman's review and interview with him?

Anyways will be interested to se why he left. Health, Visa or just time to go back?

Yeah I will miss seeing him around too.

Really sorry to hear that. Met him twice and had a nice chat with him. Certainly living on a different planet but harmless.

What happened to his bike.....not at the auctions is it?

He,s left it to his heir apparently-soon to be seen riding along beach road after its MOT has been issued. wai.gifwai.gifwai.gif

Hmm.

There appears to be a vacancy for Emperor of Pattaya and Protector of the Jomtien.

Any takers?

He did mention going back to the UK before the olympics and was thinking of getting a bike to ride around there and Wimbledon.

Yes- very embarrassing all round.

All I can say is if I found a harmless eccentric in Pattaya, who has brought without a doubt more pleasure to people than pain, to be a, "nutter" and, "very embarrassing all round" I would seriously consider my choice of city to dwell in!!

You might want to have a good look round before describing someone like this, but be careful, don't want to bring on a severe case of Agoraphobia!

Just had a good look around as per your suggestion.

My conclusion?

The man was a harmless nutter. Happy now?

Not a nutter but definitely eccentric in the true English manner.

I didn't enjoy his posts, but seeing him riding around on his bicycle would be entertaining.

I never minded seeing him pedalling around town, he was flamboyant but always smiling and pleasant. I can't say that about some of the drunken, scowling and unstable farangs i see aound downtown Pattaya.
