I know that BTS Mochit and MRT Ladprao (central dep. store) stations are relatively near DM, however

can any members advise which station is actually closer & convenient by means of Taxi drop off.

Thanks,

Your answer is both. Though you are completely incorrect to say that MRT Lat Phrao is at Central as it is NOT (MRT Phahon Yothin is the one), MRT Latphrao is 1.5kms east at Lat Phrao and Ratchadapisek rd intersection.

Essentially the easiest route from Vihavadi-Rangsit road (and the expressway before that if you chose that option - you then exit down to Vihavadi rd) is to turn south onto Phahonyothin road which willl take you to both the BTS Mo Chit station & Chatujak MRT station.

One can exit left north into Phahonyothin rd with a immediate left turn and Phahon Yothin MRT station is right there but stopping is prohibited (not that that will deter most) as there is a bus stop just north and also this is the onramp for the flyaround to Lat Phrao rd.

The first option gives you both BTS and MRT stations immediately adjacent to each other. The one caveat is that traffic can be slow going south of Vihavadi intersection down Phahonyothin on weekends (due to Chatujak market) and morning peaks.
