Let's be true to ourselves.

If you r a Casanova back in farangland, most likely u will be one here.

If u r not, most likely u r be whatever you are back in farangland.

Thai women are not specially attracted to farang men.

Thailand is no haven for farang men, its a haven for the rich.

Money talks.

So if you were a goner you always will be a goner. What utter crap... It's not about if you are rich or handsome even though superficial aspects flourish here so do they in the west.

It's about your attitude towards life and women and believe me, the female gender DO pick up on this. If you know something is not working then perhaps it's time thinking it's not them, it's me and change your approach.

U r either dreaming or u r not in Thailand.

It sounds like you're agreeing with Rics, although you patently deny it. What he's basically saying is if you're successful with women in the west, you will be here as well. And if you're not....you may enjoy the illusion that you're successful here, but most likely it's just that. So are you saying that farangs who get off the plane in Thailand magically become "hansum" men?

I dunno how you interpreted into that but no what I am saying is no matter where you are, if you cannot get any it's because you don't have the right attitude and just need to change it. And all women are not the same, assuming that you are a successful gigolo back in the west does not guarantee you will have better luck here where cultural and social aspects drive the girls to a different set of goals. You are what you are because you choose to be it or you adapt to the change. There is no absolute definitive when it comes to who has the best chance of getting women.

To be honest I find such statements to be of misogynist nature...

Don't expect to be approached unless u r a celebrity or a good looking cute teenage farang boy walking the streets of siam.

Thai women who approach farang men r most likely bar girls/ or the short time girls @ hard rock cafe.

Wrong. That should read "Thai women who approach fossilized farang men are most likely . . . . "

There are thousands of foreign men who are looked/nodded/winked/smiled at by non-working Thai women every day in Thailand if they're reasonably decent-looking, clean cut, well-presented and not reeking of "eau de Chang".

Truth.

I'm being hit on by cashiers, laundry employees, golf caddies... the newest is the lady at the bank who hit pretty hard.

The main problem I see with these is clinginess

Can you define "hit on?" Seems like every farang thinks that if a girl smiles at you, she's hitting on you.

"hit on" usually includes being overly friendly, saying stuff like "narak" then stating that they are single, beginning to compare or to show physical characteristics (I happen to have "vampire teeth" like many Thais have strong canines), slipping me their phone number along with the change, and often getting one of their friends to do the "sale" to me, etc.

Well that's a pretty clear explanation....

So mate, where did u get approached after all? The topic is about being approached, not being smiled @.

I work in the city, I get smiles everyday in the lift/ wherever. But was never approached.

I made plenty of Thai friends, and most of the time, I was to one who approached them.

Well if you're being literal then I'd have to say I'm very rarely approached since that type of behaviour is uncommon among many non-hooking Thai women.

If, on the other hand, you're asking where I've had normal, non-hooking Thai women express an interest in me by looking/nodding/winking/smiling then I'd have to say pretty much anywhere; BTS, MRT, gym, department stores, clubs.

Agree

Non-bar Thai girls won't pounce and won't approach most of the time unless u are a Kpop star

On my current visit, day 2 of a usual visit to the bank, got a cell number ...2 texts and got a dinner date with friends ...now 6 weeks later dating and not alone again in Thailand

Thai girls are easy to meet and very friendly as long as you are respectful dress neatly and don't act like a freak ! They just like a confident man ...not a hansum man

Kinda weird thing happened to me the other day in BKK that's pertinent to this thread...

Took the GF to a local branch of BKK Bank because she needed to open a new account there. All the business was being done by the GF, I wasn't doing any, just accompanying her because I knew the branch and we were out for the day.

While there, the GF ends up being assisted with a young and very attractive bank staff member who was walking her thru the process of setting up online banking. All through this, I'm just standing there nearby while they're doing their business, but I notice the bank staff girl is regularly smiling at me...

Don't think much of it, but then as they're finishing and chatting in Thai, I hear the bank staff girl talking about "narak" with my GF and looking at me more. We finish, and go out, and I later ask my GF what they were chatting about at the end. And she replied, without any seeming sense of problem, that the bank staff girl thought I was very cute and that I seemed to be very kind/nice toward my GF...

Almost enough to make me think about going back to that particular bank branch and looking to make a different kind of deposit. tongue.png

I think it does show one thing, that being that other women do notice how men treat the women they're with. So it certainly pays to present/represent yourself well.

So...does that qualify as getting "approached"???

"goals" is the keyword here.

What do u means by goals? Don't assume, don't even imagine that most thai girls make goals in their life to get hitched with farang men.

So, what social or cultural aspects will make the Thai girls to try to approach farangs men?

Don't tell me that women can sense your attitude towards them or life by a glance and decide to approach you.

No. Do u qualify this as a approach back in farangland? I guess not.

It's just a comment.

Now did you read what I wrote or do you always read between the lines?!?

I have noticed some days you got it and some days you don't. Maybe it is clothes or something or the weather. Yesterday I went to the Tuesday market. Nothing! Zip! The week before everyone from momma to the soi dogs was smiling at me. Shower, colonge same routine. Yesterday was overcast, low pressure and looked like rain.
