She should be fired. She stated she did not bar fine. What is the purpose of going to such an establishment except to bf a prostitute or drink the promotional under p:-D riced draft beer?

So even if this was a barfine establishment--or any barfine establishment for that matter--you believe that the girl MUST go with any customer who wants her? What if the guy was known to be rough with the girls and she wanted no part of that? What if the guy was stinkin/smellin drunk and puking all over himself? What if the guy was rude and patronizing and treating the girl like crap? What if the girl simply finds the guy repulsive and would rather be gang-banged than be with the guy? Just wondering if you think the girl has any discretion at all regarding who she goes with...

If you read the thread there is a man who was a club manager and another who is a customer and they insist that not all women who work in bars are on the game. Either there is one born every minute and PT Barnum was correct or this in fact may be the case in Pattaya.

Do these men also claim not all bar managers in Pattaya are pimps?

This is Pattaya we are talking about, I thought that was where stinking, puking, rude, patronising, repulsive foreign men were supposed to go looking for sex. (PS I left out the bit where you suggested violence against women)

I do wonder if the girl who didn't want the bar fine, had any lady drinks off this guy before telling him NO.

Unfortunately there are some who believe all Thai women are game and refuse to believe otherwise, sad fact. sad.png Tell her to quietly go to the bathroom so management and others can't see/hear her and make a phone call to the BF. Suspect a few minutes later things could get interesting. wink.png

Nobody likes to see two 75yr olds fighting though

Where does age come into this,or is it just an opportunity for you to voice your predjudiced opinion?

what if we added in jelly wrestling between the two blokes. Free box of viagra for the winner.

Would that make it PC enough?

Nah. Give them the viagra before they wrestle.

If you say so but out of curiosity, What country do you originally hail from?

I always thought "NO" meant the same thing in pretty much all countries.

Perhaps the perp comes from the same country hence the confusion at being told "No"

The OP reports an incident in a bar he says he's been frequenting for a long time, he's not sure if the women in the bar are prostitutes but it seems the cashier knows the answer to that question.

I don't know and you don't know either what is going on in the bar or the OP's head - Maybe he fancies the lass himself and objects to others making advances?!

Who knows?

I don't know, you don't know.

Though I would advise the OP if he is going to ride in and save this maiden he doesn't wait too long, it seems others might want to try and beat him to it. You yourself seem already to be astride your high horse. Well good luck to the fair knight who does try to save her.

But I'd suggest caution lest the OP has a clouded view - happens in Pattaya bars quite a lot, that clouded view thing.

No horse here & yes as I said I do know one thing & that is enough.

No = No

The worlds prisons are full of predators who think otherwise.

Angel or whore is not the question

No=No

I do find it odd in any case that you basically will champion the cause of the perp

If so a black horse & you should find many customers to defend here & elsewhere.

ever consider standing up for someone without getting anything in return?

it's called being a gentleman, try it sometime. You may end up not even having to pay for it!

Berkshire - I listed a few exceptions so of course you call me pn the one I did not list. No one is obligated to knowingly put themselves in.harms way - besides they do it so well.on their own.

Bild - you must be new here...

Yes, if this was a beer bar or gogo bar she is obligated to whore herself out no.less than xx times per month. These are all fronts for prostitution and everyone would go broke if that were not the case. The woman especially. What are you people stupid? Do you think these woman come to Pattaya to work for 6k a month? You can make b200 a day back on the farm, but you work your ass off for it.

There is an agogo.said to have loads of pretty univ students. They do not bf. Hahah you lose. Dont like it, THAI mgt will.beat your ass and toss you out. Total tourist racket. They make bank of tourists overpriced drinks.

That is save for the pretty gitls they lead poor slobs on, take thrir drinks and tips and then tell.them -no. Seen it dozens of times, double that in.my short stint in Phils.

Funny how many knights in shining armour to save the prostitutes. All such good upstanding gents. Do tell why you are not married dear sirs.

Moralizers. Worst kind.

Simple - not working in a dodgy bar. Shame on him.

Working in a dodgy bar, shame on her.

I knew years ago Pattaya was finished when I would see the girls drain the guys wallets but left their lizards untouched. Girls 18-19 fleecing idiots left and right. They would make they guys pay up in drinks then decide if they do him. If he is fat, drunk, has LOADS of cash, valuables or cash on.person and min 2500 they might go.(and leave at 430am). Ive seen it all. Hahahaha.

Perhaps the OP should tell us which bar this occurred in so some amongst us can ride over there, rescue the maiden or (more advisably) determine exactly what it is that is going on in this establishment.

My boss keeps asking me if I'll take an assignment to Iraq, I keep saying no, he keeps asking.

It's all part of the business I work in.

I doubt anyone would ask me to go to Iraq if I had stayed back home working the farm.

Shouldn't've joined the SAS then, should you?

SAS is flying to Baghdad already?

I've never bar fined a gogo dancer or anyone working is such a bar. I have bf'd a few girls working in beer bars (about 2). Then there were the girls working at _______. I had a relationship with one of them and knew as acquaintances many. On rare occasion would bf a few of them and we would go have a big lunch on the beach and drinking session. Sometimes one of them would have a farang in tow and on a very rare day a farang attached to one of the girls would take me for a lunch and drinks.

Those were very good times indeed.

I never had a need to bf a woman. I had plenty that lived around me and plenty that would see me before their shifts at work. I developed short relationships that usually ended when that pretty young woman realized what she had or should I say - when some dopey farang asked her to move in with her.

Yes, I have seen it all. Living in Pattaya you (SHOULD) learn to develop defenses that basically make you scam proof.

I've since moved on - it is a very dirty, dangerous place. If you are not aware of this you are either fooling yourself, a tourist, don't get out much or not very observant. Pattaya exists to separate farang from their money. It was nice to be in the middle of that during the highpoint of it all, so much excess both in terms of outlandish behavior and bar discounts. The women were loads of fun by and large.

When it all went south - girls turn up 18-19 already bad to the bone. Smoking, drugs problems. Pretty young women from upcountry already well versed in the bar industry but looking for a shot at big money.

But I digress...

And yes, I have seen it all from Thermae I to Star of Light 2 to King Kong Bar and the insanity in between. Don't even get me started on Cambodia. Sorry if you are late to the game - you lose because those days are gone forever.

EDIT: By the way, I can't see what's offensive about suggesting old blokes can fight the same as young ones, nor that their fights should be any less entertaining.

No need to explain, I googled it.

Paying a whore, right?

But I am still curious as for where the expression comes from.

Not quite. Below is an extract from an earlier post:

"The purpose of the bar fine is to compensate the bar for the lose of a member of staff due to her being out of the bar. This was based on the girl's daily wages. Of course this has been exploited over the years. For sure, many of the bars are setup for their girls being 'offed', that is why so many are employed by the bar".

There are always new players, but the game has changed. Women in Thailand have far more options. The only women that end up in Pattaya are those that really want to be. It is no longer out of necessity. Further, I had noticed that as I stated the women start in Pattaya no dam_n good where as a decade ago, it took 6-8 mos for them to turns to the dark side. Go back another decade and it was a year.

The women also are hard and its 100%% about money. They are not interested in shaking up with you, having you as a steady guy. Its money - NOW. Moreover, they are not interested in going to Europe or states. They would rather try and stay in PTY and graft money out of guys they meet in person and the Internet. The new arrivals - guys from ME and India, they want little of and surely do not want to move there for a "better life". Finally, the Internet is full of stories and even lonely losers can find enough information that should dissuade even the the most pathetic of them not to marry a 25-35 yo prostitute.

Not to mention the HIV and the many common STIs that are now nearly untreatable by antibiotics. Then there is Hepatitis.

Good luck for this woman. Maybe she should get a job in a restaurant in BKK if she does not want to be hassled by the crud in Pattaya.

I used to always laugh at Pattaya TV, all these working class English guys trying to create some sort of faux upper crust scene. No, not everyone is a low life but its a reputation that you will ALWAYS wear dear friend.

Yes, Pattaya in this regard does appear to be changing for the better. One day they will shutter the gogos and then half the beer bars.

Pattaya though will always raise an eyebrow and will remain the bane of Thailand for years to come. Good luck scoring with chicks after you tell them where you live.

There are many pluses for living in the area. All washed out by its reputation and lack of beauty both in the city and surrounding provinces.

Good luck with the sailing, might try Phuket when you get some money to move up from the Sailfish.

For some reason I thought you'd moved up to Chiang Mai. I'd assumed, with advancing age, that perhaps elephant polo was more your scene now.

Pure speculation on my part, but I would have thought that the sailing in Chiang Mai would fall short of what you were used to in Jomtien

On a sligtly more proletarian note, Pattaya is also scheduled to host Thailand's first international rugby league match, though the credibility of the match has been called into quesion by many international pundits.
