After suffering the car accident several months back I needed to visit the local clinic regularly to keep the wounds clean, but this is about the basic tests they make when you attend the clinic and the doctors I saw.

A blood pressure test and weight check as well as temperature check are all made every time I attend the clinic. Before the car accident my blood pressure was 130 / 80. After the accident it soared into the 160's and to a height of 180+

The first doctor did absolutely nothing at all about it when it was in the low 160's.

The second doctor gave me some HCZT and sent me away. I realise HCZT is to help lower the blood pressure so he did a partial job along with the blood tests he made.

Today I saw a 3rd doctor at the same clinic.

Blood pressure 169 / 90.

After questioning me about my history and my heart she asked to see my hypertension book. I'd never heard of one never mind been given one. Also my previous blood tests and medications were not logged on the computer. The head nurse (I believe she is) was summoned. She is the one who would have made the hypertension book. Obviously one had never been requested according to her records.

The upshot of all this is that I am now on 2 medications, have an appointment to get new blood tests done and have a book that records my blood pressure levels and medication. Also an appointment to see this same lady doctor who is concerned at my blood pressure levels considering she knows I've had one heart attack previously and she seems to both care and know what she is doing.

For me it goes to show what a difference a different doctor can make and I am glad I went in to the clinic today.
