Radtna or if Thai probably Radtana. The first 'a' being a vowel we don't have somewhere between an 'a' and a 'u'.

and

D. Ch. Tarvin /Tarwin the a being pronounced aa or ah. the letter is somewhere between a v and w. AS why Thais sat tee-wee. TV.

Gavin would probably be กะวิน

ดีแผ Dee-airp

Maybe some tones on them. I never got round to learning them though.

Believe the dor. chor. stands for dek chaay or 'boy' in english.

If the name should be Gavin an error has been made with the first letter because it would translate to Tavin (pronounced Tarwin in Thai though)

Thanks for all, probably me mishearing the Tavin as Gavin. Nickname is Tak I guess.

Just realised who is sending me the emails then, Rattana she is using

ดีแผ Dee-airp

That is definitely wrong. (There's also the fact that no Thai word ends in ผ, though I think it's just chance that there are none as opposed to very few.) The French place name Dieppe can be written ดีเอป, but I've not found anything authoritative.

Agreed, I would read it as dee pae,

ดีแอผ is what I think he tried to spell.
