I spoke to a friend recently who travelled Biz with Sri Lanka and recommended it to me. I am just looking at UK flights for May, and it's a toss up between Sri Lanka and Etihad for Biz class for me.

Hey

FYIO prices have slightly gone up. Depending on the flight chose the fare was increased yesterday night between 1000 baht to 2500 baht on the return

The most expensive being with a direct connection.....but knowing the reputation of the airline for its delays I am not sure wether it is worth the expense as the odds are that the connection will be missed

A for the visa, you might find that everyone needs a visa on the following Sri lankan government link

the 30 KG-luggage-allowance in Y-Class comes handy too at SriLankan

The problem is that when you connect with another airline the excess luggage is to be paid

Fly to Maldives from all over the world

Prices are quite attractive

Unfortunately impossible to get the fares advertised

aquestion though regarding the seats in Business

I have read that the best ones are the one in the middle and the oes at the front are to avoid

There are also two seats at the back on th last row easy to use for the dsiable/ does this mean that they are wider?

Not always the case, I get 40k allowance on mt frequent flyer card for domestic trips in Thailand, so really not a big issue. Even with some of the other airlines, the cost of excess baggage on Domestic flights in Thailand are pretty minimal.

Thanks. Looks very easy to apply with their online system but obviously nicer not having to. I think I'll pay 10,000thb more for direct flights though. Less hassle and waiting around. unsure.png

I just wish December wasn't so f*****g expensive!

Actually I wasn't referring to Thailand, however it is nice to know.

Which FFC are you talking about?

Also, no airline, unless, maybe Emirates or Ethyad, I don't remember why one Sri Lanka airlines is pairing with, will board you on a business allowance in Europe when you use them for a local connecting flight unlike Air France with Thai airways

What is gong on? 10% hike overnight after a slight increase on Monday

I don't think that it has anything to do with the exchange
