Seeking Native English Speaking Teacher For Second Term

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Our school in the heart of Ubon Ratchathani is looking for an English teacher for second term starting on first of November.

You’ll teach grade three, a two months’ probation period with the possibility to change the contract running until March, 31st, into a one year one.

Visa and Wp will be paid by the school, BA in any field required, Teaching experience in Thailand would be great. We’d appreciate people who already settled down in Ubon area.

Interviews will be held beginning of October, starting salary is 25,000 baht.

You should be Native English speaker, but foreigners with an excellent command in English, spoken and written, can also apply.

Cheers---wai.gif

Sirchai... no disrespect but i thought a starting salary of 25thou was like 10years ago.. surely you mean 35,000b biggrin.png

25,000 baht, That is a pathetic salary to pay to any qualified person as has been said ''10 years '' ago well in truth 20 years ago for that salary level.

There should be a starting level of a minimum of 33,000 baht per month and a 2,000 baht increase after probation completed..

It's no your fault sirchai, but you should direct your school managers to peruse the teaching sites and salaries offered nowadays.

We have a post offering a job. I don't think the OP is requesting opinions on the salary.

If your interested, PM the OP.

Here in Ubon, the few schools that offer English push hard on the 30 K salary. They have no qualm about charging each student an extra 5,000 k a term to have the Foreign English Teacher. Bangkok pays my salary, but where this extra 5k money goes I don't have a clue, but it's not going to my pocket.

They aren't looking for a 'qualified' person. Just one who can speak English.

Is it possible that we work in different countries? Please look at Anuban, they've got a "well-known" agency from Bangkok for the outside program. People come and go, they change guys more often than their underwear.

Most guys who bring their kids to Anuban do have some cash. Most of our kids' parents are poor. But I prefer our kids instead of some little selfish and all day Kanomm eating, hyperactive little monsters.

Who's paying 5 k/term for a foreign English teacher? EP is much more expensive, between 18 and 28,000 baht. Parents of kids in ordinary programs pay around 200- 300 baht.

How does Bangkok pay your salary? You get your salary from parents, the school might get some cash from Bangkok, like the 10 k program.

I'm sorry, guess we do work in different countries.----wai.gif
