Saladaeng - Best Internet Provider

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I know this has been asked many times... and different answers given...but these are my questions..and I need help :

I am moving to Saladaeng and I need to get internet at my new apartment. The options are 3BB, TOT and True (these are what I have seen on the forums here)

So my questions are :

Which would you suggest out of 3BB, TOT and True?

Which do you think has the best contention ratio? - I believe this would make a difference to the stability and speed of downloads and uploads

Which has a good International Internet browsing experience?

Is it worth getting a fixed IP address?

My Budget will be approx 2500 baht a month

Appreciate your help in advance

Cheers

Just an observation from glancing over recent posts on the similar threads regarding the best ISP for ADSL internet, it seems 3BB would win a current election on best provider (not to imply some folks don't have problems with 3BB) with True coming in 2d and TOT 3d. Now if True at your new location also offers DOCSIS (cable) internet you might want to check that out. I've been on the True DOCSIS 20Mb/2Mb plan for 16 months now in western Bangkok....been totally reliable and fast (your results may vary).

All three, cheapest package from each - would probably cost you less than 2,500/mo (maybe 1,800 ish, they all seem to have a "599" baht package?).

Then, get yourself a load balancing router to tie all three lines together.

ftw :)

Im signing up With True Docsis here at BangNa / Bearing . . hope that it works out good. .

Use to have 3BB 9/1 in Pattaya i had the DSLAM box less then 50m from my Condo that line was superb !

Now i hope for 220-300ms to US Battle.net servers . . . for my online gaming needs.
