Anyone Seen Wundaweb In Thailand?

Featured Replies

A friend has asked me to post here as he is looking to purchase 'Wundaweb', which is an iron on material used to do turn-ups on trousers etc without the need for stiching. He has been asking around for a while and nobody seems to know about it in Thailand, any pointers in the right direction appreciated.

I'm fairly sure I've seen it in Homeworks (Pattaya) in the glues/duct tape/insulating tape aisle. Possibly in Home pro too.

But, if I needed some alterations made, I would visit one of the numerous street-side sewing machine guys/gals. Just 20 baht or so for turn-ups (well, that's in Bang Saray, probably a bit more in the city), cheaper than wundaweb and a better job too.

I can't remember the exact English name for this product, something like 'hem tape'.

Anyway I bought some in the UK in one of those pound shops. Therefore the nearest thing to a pound shop in Thailand would be one of those Japanese 40 baht or 60 baht or 80 baht etc shops. They seem to have EVERYTHING imaginable. Try that.

turn ups,

what a typically English term.

I like turnips. I do my alterations by dropping one in my shorts, and everyone thinks I'm big stuff. :)

indeed,

meanwhile no one knows you are getting busy with the hole left by the worm

Draftvader thanks for the link I also need to pick some up.

OP they may not know the brand so suggest you ask for hem tape (iron heat activated tape)

Yes, it wasn't a brand name. Definitely iron on web fabric. Staff spoke enough English to be helpful.
