Could someone pl tell me what docs I need to carry with me to the ministry office? i.e. the one not far from the Immigration Office.

The vehicle is now 3 years old.

Do I need to do a Roadworthy test/obtain certificate?

From memory......

Blue Book

Valid Vehicle Insurance

Passport

Fees

Residence Certificate from Immigration? Reqd?

Thanks

Don't know about Phuket, but I would have thought it's pretty much standard anywhere. At Rayong, all they want is the blue book, the government insurance certificate and the cash. They have a drive-through booth for vehicle registration renewals, you just hand in the papers through the window, pay, wait half a minute while the new windscreen certificate is printed then you're off. It's hardly worth switching off the engine.

Blue Book - yes

Valid Vehicle Insurance - yes

Passport - no need

Fees - yes

Residence Certificate from Immigration? Reqd? - no need

Takes about 20 minutes at most (my experience of the last about 6 times)

Waiting time can be spent at the small food court behind the building, good for a Thai-Style breakfast.
