BuffaloRescue Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Hi Is it possible in Thailand to have one mobile phone with 3 or 4 different phone numbers used for incoming calls. Ive seen phones with 2 sim slots but usually only 1 sim can be active at a time for receiving calls. Is there a provider or some way we can use our existing 4 mobile numbers all "forwarding" to one number. Some are with one2call and others with dtac. They are all prepaid.. thats also a nuisance having to keep them all topped up and remembering to do so before they expire. Can we get it so they work for a year before needing to be topped up? Any ideas?
thaicbr Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Buffalo.. most double sim phones now can receive calls to both sims. currently in Thailand there are only dual sim phones. so you would need 2 phones. I have a 2nd hand Wellcom A90+ for sale .1900 baht. pm me if interested. this will work with your dtac sims on 3g and Ais and dtac on 2g. http://classifieds.thaivisa.com/electronics/cell-phones/wellcom-a90-android-duo-sim-touch-screen-phone-1990-baht-195589.html http://www.siamphone.com/spec/wellcom/a90+.htm
RKASA Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 You could have as many other cheap phones (i.e. used 300 or 400 baht) as you like and forward all calls to them to another single number. They could all be located in a single spot and plugged into the power outlet.
lomatopo Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Yes. At least AIS and DTAC offer "multi-number" service, as an option, I believe, to post-paid customers. You can have up to five (5) different numbers associated with one single SIM/account. One-2-Call do have a multi-number service for pre-paid, two numbers: http://www.ais.co.th...lti-number.html Hmmm, I can't find any references to multi-number services, other than the AIS/One-2-Call link above, on either the AIS/GSMAdvance or DTAC websites. They used to offer these services, I am sure, but not sure if they still do - maybe contact them: AIS on 1175 and DTAC on 1678. And yes, you can also have a multi-SIM account; with up to five (5) different SIMs associated with one single number. http://www.ais.co.th..._multi_sim.aspx http://www.dtac.co.t...ss/multisim.php You can also forward existing numbers to one single number, but you do have to pay for the "forwarded call" charges.
