Confused About Loy Krathong Dates

A little brochure I picked up in the hotel (City Now!) seems to indicate that Yeepeng Sansai occurs on the 24th at Mae Jo Uni with the release of the hot air lanterns/balloons. This seems to be different to the dates in the Chiand mai paper where everthing seems to be later. I doubt whether we would go all the way to the uni anyway, we are elderly and staying in the night bazaar area. Can anyone fill me on the dates of activities closer to where we are staying thanks Ian
