India has nothing on Thailand in this respect. Change the rules once and then after a few weeks/months change them back to the original rules? Childs play. They should start by varying the time you can stay in the Country depending on what form of transport you arrive on. That would make things more interesting. Then start limiting the amount of visas one can get in ones passport but make that dependent on which consulate you apply at. They haven't even started proof of onward travel???

Get with the program India. If this is your 'A game' then you suck.

thank you and thats really good news to some extent. makes a lot sense for multiple entry visas. but then again its more difficult these days to get 6 months visa double or multiple entry. They normally just issue 3 months single entry.

Same with many countries. They seem to want to keep tourists away by making it difficult for them to apply for visas. For example, China. Need to book flight in advance, etc. Stupid.

Not exactly. A sponsor is needed and they can specify any mode of transport on the letter they want, which is non-binding. Anyway, purchasing a ticket in advance of anticipated travel is not stupid, it's called good planning.
