Gps Navigation System For Car

Featured Replies

Hi

I am thinking on purchasing a system similar to TomTom. Looking at the reviews on TomTom in Thailand it doesn't seem to be a good choice here - Although in Europe I found it to be very good.

Have looked at the products here and it would seem that Garmin is the way to go.

Does anyone have any experience with any of these products:-

NUVI 2575 (9900 baht)

NUVI 3770 (14700 baht)

NUVI 3790V (14950 baht)

I want to get from A to B without looking at a map, although not difficult in Thailand, I just like bells and whistles!

Also, what maps are embedded on the system - The shop seemed a bit vague on this subject (whistled up his mate- reply was- I think Thailand Vietnam and Singapore). This seemed a bit disjointed, Why not Thailand, Laos, Cambodia etc. land ajoining Thailand?

Anyway, if anyone has any useful info on this I would be grateful

Tks

I am quite happy with my good old Nokia N8 using Ovi Maps. Sometimes (in Patong) the names of roads are a bit mixed up, but the navigation works like a charm.

Edited to add: It is for free...

I just bought a Nuvi 2565. It comes with life time map updates.

All your choices will make a great GPS with all the extras.

Malsing maps are very well developed. So I guess that's where the licensing factors in.

I also have the Nuvi 2565 and happy with it. I find it easy to use and it seems to have all the functions I need.
