More burning in the hills today and a cute little golfball sized mushroom which popped up in the yard today. We get a lot of mushrooms because of all the rain but usually the light is not great or I don't have my camera handy.

First, let me say that I am new to the CR area so I am not yet familiar with the names of the roads, rivers and landmarks. One day however, I was traveling on the road from the airport to that ends u

Today's sunset from a nearby mountain top at Phaya Phi Phak. They are working on the road and building a new viewing area up on top.

Aplogies for the turned photos, as my Galaxy Tab 3 gives no warning on the uploads.

And photos too big for my 14" laptop sad.png

Sorry about that. My tablet didn't give me the reduction option and to be honest I wasn't expecting the photos to be that big on my PC. damn :)

It's happened to me on occasions as well Garry, I've never worked it out either.

I suspect that using a photo editing program to reduce the size.. as in kb/mb may do something but the real problem probably lies here.

I was surprised. If I email photos, it will give me reduction options. So as you mention, I'll have to see if my editing programs have a reduction/compression option.

To be on the safe side I export everything to a separate folder on my computer, with no dimension over 1024 to try and maintain some control over size and quality, before moving a photo to an online site.

I eventually do the same with my tablet. As a rule I generally don't post photos from it. My eagerness won this time.

I love the way the light comes from a different angle this time of year and illuminates the rice fields from the side.

I find this flower very interesting as it begins the day almost white but changes color during the day.

It only took a dozen tries. Here are my last two on the new page.

Do you use the ThaiVisa app to post them?

I need to try that, transferring them to the PC seems to decease the quality.

I am worried about the size so move them to the iMac first. You are right about the drop in quality, especially when moved to TVF or Facebook. Everyone has their own algorithm I guess.

I just took this and am posting it using the app for iPad. post-38081-14469430255898_thumb.jpg

Set at medium quality.

Apart from being crooked (operator error smile.png ) it's not too bad.

Thanks, good to know the iPhone 4 still cuts the mustard.

The heavy rain here last night may put their burning plans on hold for a while.

Didn’t stop them burning around here today. Lovely thick billowing clouds rising up from the wet straw.
