Very nice

These flowering trees don't last long but they look great for the moment.

Here is a shot from our local dam yesterday. Notice the touch of Fall colors on the hillside.

It got cold enough for all the rubber trees to lose their leaves this year. A stark but interesting look.

Stopped at the flood control works on the Mae Nam Kok downstream from Chiang Rai city yesterday morning. The water level behind the gates is high, about 1.5m below the top of the gates. Interested to see how long they continue to hold back the river.

I think they try to keep the water level behind the sluice gates pretty constant and only open things up during the rainy season. You should go back when things are in full flow.

I was out walking the dog today and couldn't see the nearest mountains because of all the smoke. I did see this little fellow posing on a wall. Not sure if that is his natural color or if the pollution is getting to him. It looks like he may have a touch of black lung disease starting there too.

I saw the biggest lizard of the blue headed variety I've seen yesterday.

It ran across the yard to the dogs interest but he was careful not to get too close.
