Unfortunately, Thais very often just destroy what isn't good enough anymore.

One of the reasons why there's not many beautiful old buildings remaining.

I especially love the old wooden houses, of which I add a single pic here (Color pic processed with Lightroom)

Well, where i live most the old houses got destroyed by termites but well, I love the old houses too. Too bad not everyone can afford to build with teak.

I have collected several old wooden house shots from my mountain bike rides around Phaya Mengrai in Chiang Rai. They truly are a vanishing relic of the past.

Can't imagine having to put up with the noise of the rain on a tin roof for months on end during the rainy season.

Another old resort on Samui ..... this sort of has a weird airy feeling in the right light..... It has been looking like this for months, seems to be a hold up on new funds to make yet another 5 star resort! bah.gif

That's an old large satellite dish toward the front roof!
