Popular Post jack2964
The Lord of the Waterhole: Blue-whistling Thrush. Taken from a hide in Phu Khieo Wildlife Sanctuary. A rascal really, he would harass other smaller sized birds that come for a much needed drink on a very hot and dry afternoon. But he got a taste of his own medicine when 3 male Siamese Firebacks showed up and drove it away....for a while at least.

Popular Post T_Dog
Our white throated Kingfisher continues to keep us entertained every day with feeding time and the occasional bath and preening. Yesterday he roosted for three hours in this Lila Wadee tree as we wandered within 3-4 meters from him. The dog even gets closer. We have three varieties of Kingfishers coming to the pond but this one is by far the least wary.

jack2964
@Hanno Shooting from a blind makes it a great deal easier. The birds are a few short meters away and this was at just 4.5 meters. Gear used was a Canon 7D with 300mm lens.
hanno
I tried using a hide here in Cambodia but it attracts way too much attention. Not the avian kind, regrettably.
