Hello, from Jan 16th i will spend a few days in Nakhon Si Thammarat town and then hope to move to Khanom Peninsula for some more days. I have the current Rough Guide and Lonely Planet books (RG is much better for NST)! I do speak a bit of tourist Thai that's useful with hotels, restaurants and drivers. I will use Google Maps on the phone as my area map. I would like to ask for your suggestions.

Things that interest me:

- good live music places for morlam or songs-for-life or Thai rock and folk (for example like the Tawan Daengs across the country)

- rentals for cars, motorcycles or bicycles

- suggestions for surrounding towns and villages

- best resort in Khanom (quiet, midrange or upper midrange, not too formal, leafy, good shadow)

- nature

- scenic every day life

- anything you find remarkable

- atmospheric eateries and coffee shops, esp outdoors and in relative nature, also for western food like pizza
