On Nut And Beyond

Featured Replies

The title says it all really, I'd like somewhere withing walking distance from Sukhamvit Soi 95 - though I suppose I'd be willing to hop on a bus.

This question is begging a soloution to weekday nights when BBC World and Star Movies can become a little too mundane.

Weekends I go to Phrom Phong with the nice girl who doesn't live with me, and I have been known to visit Kaosan Rd when really desperate, but there's more out there I've yet to discover - can somebody recommend me somewhere to haunt for weeknights and an alternative at weekends?

:o

can't really help you with an alternative to BBC and star movies through the week, but on the weekends you could try the pubs/bars/cafes around silom. get off the BTS at Sala Daeng and have a wonder around.... Soi Thania and Convent have some ok venues

try the pubs/bars/cafes around silom

Am usually too tired to go out "properly" on the weekends, but if I want to let my hair down I usually go out in silom, usually soi 4 - known as a gayish area, but get all types there really and always a laugh :o

I assume that when you say On Nut and beyond - the beyond is South-East - Bang Na and so on.

We have another thread going on that, which has come up with the verdict 'Absolute Desert - Nowt - Nada - Nothing'

This means making the effort (and spending the taxi fare in my case) to get to the more friendly parts of BKK before midnight.
