Happy Sim Credit Validity - How To Extend?

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody,

I bought a Happy SIM from 7-11 - after using it for a month, last time i topped up sixty baht on it the validity only lasted for four days! So now that's expired...

I've already put about 180 baht on it and used 100 baht - and heard you can extend ur current credit's validity for a small fee. Tried to do the *1013 thing today but didn't work, got a text saying i needed to extend the validity (which was what i was calling to do).

Any ideas what's going wrong??

If you register on the website you can use your main balance to extend your validty. I do this often when I'm going away for a while. It's costs 12 Bt for 180 days.

Correct and after registering go to the 14_webservice_subtitle07.gifon your own number and extend. If you do not know this little fact you are in or a long searchthumbsup.gif .

I am certain that you must be a customer for 90 days before you can avail yourself of the Day Giveaway feature.

Note this: Eligible users must have activated their SIM for at least 90 days continuously, or have a total usage balance of over 200 baht. In addition, the account must not be suspended, and must have at least 1 day before it expires when activating the service.

If this helps, I dont know, but I got a plan that you simply have to make a call in like a 5 week period. I tend to do just about that, and talk for a minute or so, so I have a free phone essentially.

I could have sworn that was "and" rather than "or", as I honestly recall some users running in to this length of service issue. It should be easy enough for the OP to get his balance up to 200 baht, and then try. Thanks for pointing this out. thumbsup.gif

The best solution is to use a True InterSIM which is valid for 365 days from the last top-up.

Correct, pretty much any top-up of 10 baht or more results in a 365 day expiration, with some potential usage requirements, and the potential loss of service come September when TrueMove's concession ends. Worst case it will be good for ~ 9 months. wink.png

This could be the Kong Kra Pun SIM/Plan? http://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/products/simkongkapan.html

which basically never expires as long as you use it at least once every 1,000 hours ( ~ 43 days).

Well, I still haven't used the 100B I put in 2 years ago (since topped-up with another 50B to extend the validity) so I reckon I have got my money's worth whatever happens.

And in theory my number is portable anyway if the concession isn't renewed.

That is pretty good. If I remember correctly, I did look into this plan, and I think the local calls were more. Could be wrong no doubt. Anyway, if i'm correct, I went for the referenced happy because i do make a few calls now and again.

TRUEMOVE Inter SIM is 90 days per top up. Older ones were 365.

I am not convinced:

http://www.truemove.com/en/Inter-SIM-Prepay-condition-1.rails

10. Participants of this sales promotion will get 365 days service validity immediately by topping up value from 10 baht to 1,000 baht. The subscriber can only collect service validity up to 365 days.

11. Subscribers who do not make call or top up TrueMove Prepay credit within 90 days, True Move has the right to temporarily suspend the service for 18 days and service will be automatically terminated on day 19th.

They may have the right, but as far as I know they don't apply it. I shall find out when I next top-up in September (assuming they still have a concession then smile.png ).

Ahh. I sometimes wonder what it must be like to have friends to talk to.

And "expensive" is usually the word that comes to mind. smile.png

If I push buttons, and the phone goes to my ear, I know baht are flying out the window for something that i can do perfectly as well, better in fact, for free.

Friends=good, friends who want you to call them=bad smile.png

I have actually narrowed this down a LOT. The only real reasons to have a phone are to get laid and, well, that's it actually.
