First time I saw one of these in my house I went into panic mode. biggrin.png BTW - about 10-11 cm across.

The smaller they are, the scarier they can be! This one was a couple of centimetres at most.

lots of interesting insects and reptiles. I'm on the caution side about picking them up unless I'm pretty sure they're harmless to people

Just found him hanging around outside my office today. Made a fundamental mistake on my first shots and forgot about the very high contrast background. Used a fill flash and worked nicely.

That is so weird. You didn't happen to drop by Chiang Mai University as a few days ago we had the exact same 7 legged version. A friend commented on it asking that he thought spiders had 8 legs. biggrin.png

No to far away, though this monster took on a small bird last week. But the bir won, maybe it's nest in in CM.

A day later the bird returned to collect the gargantuous webblink.png . Properly doing some home improvementcool.png .

In my hunt for one of the same, (spider) I came across this...Hawk, Often see a pair at the west end of Maenam beach, Samui.... perhaps on the hunt for spiders! wink.pngw00t.gif
