rixalex Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21102157 Barcelona lost in La Liga for the first time this season, falling to a shock 3-2 defeat at mid-table Real Sociedad. Don't know about you chaps, but i think they may have had their day.
Chicog Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 They had Pique sent off. It happens. Nothing to see here, move along now. 1
carmine Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 I don't think so Rix because they are not an ageing side held together by their manager. 1

MrRed Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Lets face it they can really only decline from there magnificent heights so this thread has a long way to run I wonder is Gladiola will steal the best footballer in the World or a few of his accomplished team mates. Maybe Messi wants to join Tottenham?

jellydog Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Valdes wanting out could be more of an omen. One loss on the road a man down means little. I think.

Have never really rated Valdes, just always thought he was a bit of a flapper and his distribution was suspect. But in answer to the OP, i can see the whole thing unraveling - throwing away an 11 point lead, getting tonked by Milan in the Champions League, and a mess exodus at the end of the year.

Particularly like the sound of a mess exodus... not only does everyone leave, but when they do, they all leave their dirty kits strewn all over the dressing room.

Maybe Messi wants to join Tottenham? Maybe Zeki Fryers will join Man Utd! Nah they will get ratboy from Madrid. On a huge wage preferably. Messi will end up at Citeh for £100m maybe....come on mrboj.....get the chequebook out! Tevez to go to Spain as part swap would suit everyone....except Messi of course. Can't see him doing his tricks in -5C while knee deep in mud or snow....

Can't see him doing his tricks in -5C while knee deep in mud or snow.... tevez is lined up to go home to argentina apparently. he's never really settled in england.

I must have meant Torres....he really needs to fly back to Spain asap.

Whole different story with Torres. i seem to be alone in thinking this but i think he's worth a chance at the right price but it would be a big risk.

Nah....he might flourish back in Spain but he's finished in England I reckon.

NoshowJones Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 They had Pique sent off. It happens. Nothing to see here, move along now. No, they are not in decline, Glasgow Celtic beat them recently. If anyone is looking to see a club really in decline, there is one in the south side of Glasgow and they are only a few months old.

A certain team from the South side of Glasgow threw away 15 points last season, well maybe not threw away, it was just that a certain team from the East end of Glasgow were far more superior.
rixalex Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21498968 Barca now beaten by two ex-Portsmouth players.
carmine Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/21498968 Barca now beaten by two ex-Portsmouth players. Now i suppose Scrotum Face will be trying to take some credit for beating Barcelona. Wouldn't put it past him. TBH the first goal was a joke. Very poor refereeing. If Barca score early at the Neu Camp i'd fancy them to turn over Milan. Could be very tight though.

A Champions League final without them just isn't quite right.
Chicog Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Should be an exciting second leg. AC park the bus, Barcelona buzz round the area, breakaway.... 0-1!

salty Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Barcelona persisted in trying to play through the middle of the Milan defence which played into the Italian's hands. Although they were making little impression they were ok with 0-0 but then Alves conceded a mindless free kick which led to the first goal. Giving away stupid free kicks to quality sides is asking for trouble. This was manna from heaven for Milan. A goal up and under no great pressure it was set up for a counter attack which produced a 2nd goal. Barcelona failed to overturn a similar score at the Nou Camp 3 seasons ago against Inter Milan. Although they are running away with La Liga I feel they are not as good as in previous seasons, and I expect Milan to go theough.
salty Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Barcelona well beaten by Real Madrid 3-1 in the 2nd leg Copa Del Rey semi final tonight 4-2 on agreggate. Only a late Barca goal took the bare look off the scoreline. They handed the inititive to Real in the 13th minute when Pique stupidly dived in on Ronaldo in the area to concede a penalty. Thereafter they posed little threat to Real and 2 goals in the first half of the 2nd half had Real coasting. Like last week Barcelona trying to pass their way through a lot of bodies and failing. No sleepless nights I would imagine after this in Milan. Barcelona are treading water.

Maybe there is some truth about the blood doping going on at Barca, why else can a team chase the ball for 90 mins at there intensity without some aid?
Foxman888 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Pique protesting he got the ball/didn't touch Ronaldo - footballers make me laugh sometimes.
