Calling At&t Usa Direct (toll Free #) With Dtac

Signed up for a post-paid DTAC number last week primarily for the GPRS program.

During sign up it was mentioned that I would have to wait 3 months to use the direct international dialing capability. I said no problem as I have a calling card and would be accessing it through AT&T USA direct (toll free Thailand number). This was met with a smile and a response of "OK" from the girl at the DTAC desk.

Tried calling the number today and got a "Service denied" message. Called customer service and they said I cannot call toll free numbers with DTAC. Does anyone have any other experience with this?

Put my AIS sim back in and made the call, but that's a bit of a pain.

On that note, since it appears that appears that I need AIS and DTAC (if I want to continue using the DTAC for GPRS or EDGE in supported areas), I understand that there is some sort of Sim card that allows you to copy information from multiple sim cards. Supposedly this gives you access to multiple numbers from 1 chip. Does something like that exist here in Thailand?

Cheers,

Mike
