I use SonicWall VPN services to my client server in the US.

The SonicWall client connects properly to the US server but.....for some reason, for a long time, I have been unable to connect/map a new network drive via Windows XP sp3 Explorer function.

I used to be able to, but something seems to have changed, perhaps on my computer, but no longer.

Is/are there specific XP settings that may have changed that would disallow network drive mapping via VPN?

My client has become increasingly upset that I cannot connect and seamlessly transfer files.

And, yes I have spoken with their people and have the correct passwords.

Thanks,

M

I don't know. I haven't used SonicWall.

Do you really need a mapped drive? Can't they just create a folder for you and give the proper permissions to it?

In the past I have had access to the specific "folder" required to create and share files.

I had 'mapped' this as \\xxxxxxx\xxxx with a specific drive letter to match the customers network drives. But, as I previously noted, somehow, my pc system lost the ability to connect to this 'mapped network drive' quite some time ago.

Maybe I'll just have to continue to live with the situation and just email, or find a suitable 'cloud' service to use that the customer can use too without being a PITA.
