Counterfeit Tyres
Not counterfeit, but barely even a real tyre either - last year daughter coming home from uni about 6pm had a rear tyre blowout, she found a place open and only tyres they had were 'Ecotyre'. 600b - since seen them on Shopee for 299b. Photos show it just before replacement a few months later, about 1,800 km on a 115cc Yamaha Fino, not exactly a high-powered tyre-burning machine. -

Crime Prominent Meditation Centre Under Investigation for Encroachment
This is one of 9 Goenka Vipassana centers in Thailand (although originating in Myanmar, perhaps an irritating factor?), all run by donations only. They do 10 day retreats. Maybe the ran up against some local competition or have some pissed off traditional neighbors? Pretty legit, perhaps the best and a valuable resource for Thais and foreigners serious about starting or learning the basics of essential Buddhist practice. I have done 4 of them in various other centers. Very Highly recommendable! See the other centers around Thailand at https://kancana.dhamma.org/ They are all quite popular and usually booked a couple of months in advance, but very well worth it! On the site, they say closed until October '25 for renovations. This could close it permanently? May they continue to contribute to and help, May All Beings Be Happy..!
