I-Kool 3G (Tot Mnvo) - Business... Thai Style!

Featured Replies

I was using i-Kool 3G sim and 1Gb / 199 baht / 60 days package on my ipad for a long time. Refill cards sold at Fortune town so it was easy then.

Now I'm in Phuket, wanted to buy 500 baht - 5Gb - 30 days package but no luck!

7-11, Tesco and small phone vendors don't sell it. In fact, Tesco have every TOT MNVO except i-Kool which was a bummer. If you want to buy online refill, you can buy in 50 - 100 - 300 baht options, there is no 500 baht option. So my wife called customer service, they said they can combine 300 + 100 + 100 if I buy online. So I bought a total of 500 baht in 3 times and talked to customer service again, they put all credits to my account's main wallet. Now its the tricky part, you can't buy a package yourself! Customer service lady said it will be activated tomorrow evening, or 3 days maximum.

Normally I would bought Dtac 5Gb package for 2 times the price of this, but dtac download speed is about 3mbit in my location. TOT and True-H can do 10-20 Mbits constantly.

So, i-Kool gives bandwidth for cheap, but is it worth it? Nope. It is hard to understand business model of TOT and its MNVO operators.

Just an update,

My 5000mb (5gb) package activated yesterday, as customer service said. Still doesnt make sense to wait more than 24 hours for this. Anyway, nothing can beat the performance / price ratio of this one though.
