Slk 200, Will Hold Value Or Not ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm considering to buy the SLK 200 (second generation 2005-2010), second hand.

Will this car hold his value or not ? What i can expect if i buy a 2.5M Baht SLK 2010 for the next 3-4 years when i will change it for a newer model ? Or it's better to chose an early production of 2005 an pay 1.8M for it ? I will pay cash for the car, i want to know how much it will cost me in total after resale when i get borred.

Thanks.

Someone had already taken the majority of the depreciation. In 5 years it might be worth 1.5m

The 2005 or the 2010 production year car ?

Just look at the generation before.

Still around 1 million baht for a 97 model. I dont see you losing much on a 2005 but newer ones still need to get through that first 5-6 years to bottom out on depreciation. It will still hold up well because someone else has already taken the major hit in depreciation.

Used cars of all kinds hold up well in Thailand.

You need to factor in on-going running costs and repairs with older European vehicles too:)

Yes. No doubt and the older they are the more expensive it is.

Mercedes are pretty much easiest of the Euros here in Thailand.
