Hi,

Arriving in Chiang Mai soon. I'm looking at getting pay tv for the sole purpose of watching F1, Cricket and Rugby.

What would anyone recommend? I know truevisions offers these, but am not sure of the price.

I believe Jsat.TV is another option?

Thanks for your help!

The only way really to get most of the sport you want, is unfortunately

with Truevisions, the other route with dishes ect, works out about the

same cost wise,

Price for Truevisions is about Bht1,800 pm, more if you want HD and

more channels .and I dont believe they show Cricket .

regards Worgeordie

There are some options to bring the Truevisions price down though.. still using their official equipment and subscription options.

Can get down to about 650-700 baht for platinum.

How do you do this?

Why Pay anything ?

Live and totally FREE, never have a problem, can even get lots in HD, http://www.vipboxsports.me/

Past 2 years always watch F1 Live, + free practice Fri & Sat....., just need HDMi cable from PC to TV.

I also have a move dish bought over 9 years ago, lots of free stuff, bought last year a SKybox Hd as not possible to watch HD on the Dreambox

They offer additional connection points, so you find three more people interested and they get the box (have to get their own small dish from anywhere) and Bob's your uncle. Truevisions of course know people do this, they're not stupid. But they're still raking it in, so get the feeling they don't mind all that much.

It works best if the person paying the bill also uses other True services (phone, internet), and has a particular credit card to make use of all discounts.

But if anything goes wrong you have to go through (notify) the person whose name and address it's registered in and if they are away for a couple of weeks...... Works OK in small tight knit communities.

How do you find the stream? I'd heard that Thai internet is rather poor when accessing international links?

If there is a problem just change your VPN IP address, sometimes cannot get 'Sky Sports HD' Live, so change to a UK VPN, simple, seconds later you are watching. or USA VPN or any other.

Sure many will help/tell you how to do.......... or Google ......changing vpn ip address

But who in their right mind wants to watch Formula 1 anyway, jeez, the races themselves are as boring as watching paint dry, so watching practice too, blimey that must be a real challenge to stay awake....still, a guaranteed cure for insomnia is Formula Yawn!!!

Yes but some people watch 22 grown men kicking a little ball about and call that exciting sport !

Seeing as you requested TV options, I think True Visions is your best bet.

Heaps of rugby, not sure about F1 though.

I think you can just about forget about the cricket though.

Maybe True will pick it up if/when they lose the EPL.

I have crappy internet so streaming doesn't work well for me.

Regards

Will

Fair comment!! Also, yesterday, something really strange was on. There was a live Beyonce gig which was fabulous but too short, but on either side of it was a bunch of very fat blokes in uniform trundling up and down a stadium in an extremely boring and dull event. No idea what that was but the Beyonce bit was great!!
