British Man Collides With Pedestrian in Pattaya Big Bike Crash
I have been riding bikes, from trail bikes to motocross to street bike to superbikes for 45 years before I got a big bike in Pattaya. My rules are: 1. Ride for the slide. It is gonna happen and I am old now and don't want to hurt more than required. 2. Don't ride at night, that is when the drunks come out (on foot, bike and car). 3. In town, take the Honda Wave, much easier to wiggle around and stop. 4. Drive at speeds similar to traffic, fast lane splitting or should riding is a guaranteed accident. How simple is that?? -

Crash Kills Mother and Two Children in Chumphon; Driver Flees
Hence my post, leave someone dying in the road and failure to call emergency services = manslaughter. No, its not Manslaughter... the Charge 'would' be Failing to Stop and Render Assistance. This charge applies when a driver involved in an accident does not stop to help the injured parties. Conviction can result in imprisonment for up to 3 months and/or a fine ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 baht. If the BMW driver is found to be at fault, other potential charges could be: Reckless Driving Causing Death: This charge applies when a driver operates a vehicle with reckless disregard for safety, resulting in another person's death. Conviction can lead to imprisonment for up to 10 years and fines up to 200,000 baht. Negligent Homicide: This pertains to causing death through negligence, including negligent driving. Penalties include imprisonment for up to 10 years or fines up to 20,000 baht. -
