English Programme Schools In Phuket

Hi to all,

I am currently a student completing my 4th year Bachelor of Education in Melbourne Australia. As part of my degree we are required to complete a 4 week teaching placement within a primary school setting. I have decided to do this 4 week block in Thailand, Phuket.

So I am searching for any teachers who are currently working in any English programme schools in Phuket. I have sent an email off to the montessori school as well as the Kajonkiet Suksa School to ask if any of these schools is interested in taking on a pre service teacher for this 4 week block.

So I thought I would also try my luck on this forum just incase any of the members here are teachers within the phuket area or if any members have contacts within these or any other suitable schools.

My 4 week block would be taking place within the month of June and from the research I have done I think the British Curriculum International School is on holidays at this time so I havent contacted them as yet!?!

What would be required of the school if there are any willing to accept me, is for a teacher within the prep to grade 4 area to be willing to have me in their classroom for the 4 weeks so that I am able to observe, assist the teacher and possibly implement some learning experiences alongside the teacher.

In regards to travel, accommodation, living expenses etc that will solely be my responsibility.

I do have a more detailed explanation of the placement to forward on but I thought I would write a brief mail just to see if there may be any possibilities out there.

So if there is any one that may be able to suggest any suitable schools or teachers that would be willing it would be greatly appreciated. My university needs to know my plans asap so I am trying as many avenues as possible. Thanks heaps, Mel
