My Thai GF is wanting to start her own web site.

She currently sells on ebay but would like to grow her business

She has read a lot about various site but would like a little more

info. re. justhost.com and she would like some easy to understand

advise from people here who have used this site

She has no real experience with building her own site

She has about 150 products she sells

She wants

- an easy to set up web site

- she wants her site to look similar to her ebay store,

- ability to block certain countries from viewing her website

- she just wants to add photos and a description

- use paypal and paybycredit thru paypal as only way to pay for items.

She tried singing up for justhost.com but they want payment with first

without her knowing if this site will meet her needs for simplicity.

Can people with more knowlesge than both of us give a few tips or suggetions

Justhost is just a hosting company.

If you're not particular good at computerstuff, you'll have to go to a proffesional website developer anyway.

What you need:

* domain

* hosting

* website with shopping cart, properly and securely tied into her paypal account.

Once the above has been done, she can then herself start putting her items in the system, this part is not too hard after some explaining.

Getting it popular will be hard as well, most people prefer to shop through ebay etc due to the protection mainly favors the buyer and not the seller.

On a normal site like she wishes to have, the customer only has paypal protection left...

You need something like Shopify or Volusion which is a e-commerce bullder that will simplify the whole process.

I use http://www.inmotionhosting.com/ for my hosting and have a couple websites that are in wordpress. Whatever you do use a host close to the search engines, they like that.

So,

Figure out a good web URL name through Google Adwords keyword tool; adwords.google.com

Buy the hosting.

Create your wordpress site; it's simple.

Download filezilla to your computer.

Upload your site to your host through filezilla.

Start your marketing plan.

If you have questions you can fish around on the internet and find most of answers.

go for inmotionhosting as i use them for my client who hosts her site as well

however forget shopify and volfusion or whatever those rubbish services are listed.......

try themes like http://themeforest.net/ or just get the default magento site....
