THose "lovely" men at com-seven tell me 10 days for service or replace the battery - it has to go to Singapore.

If you mean I care, then it is run by come even who simply want to send it to Singapore. Apple do not have a real presence in Thailand. However as my machine is out of warantee, I have no objection toba competent spurious repair shop.

Also have you done a youtube search on your model? You will be able to find an instruction video on doing it yourself. Might be much easier than you think.

If you're ok with an aftermarket replacement, I would guess that those laptop battery shops that you can find in any IT mall in BKK would have or be able to get them.

There is or was a real AppleCare center down by Siam Square. Not an authorized center, but one run by Apple. They have more capability to fix in-country than the service centers.

Nothing in Thailand is run by Apple. They don't have a presence here yet. Everything is authorized service center, or just independent shops that have techs that know Apple stuff (hopefully). You can check the Apple site to see which ones are actually authorized.

My guess is that was comseven - As far as I can see apple are not in thailand in an official capacity outside comseven......who to put it mildly, leave a lot to be desired
