I Do Feel For This Dog.... Alone Now For 3 Days.

Here it is after midnight and the young dog over the road is still yapping and at times howling for some companionship sad.png

The householders have 3 dogs and this is three days now that they have been away. Oddly enough they have taken two of the dogs with them and left the third. There have been no signs of anyone calling to the house, but I do not sit and watch the place, so can easily have missed anyone calling round.

The neighbours cannot be too happy at the situation either as they have to sleep ( or not ) through it. Luckily for me I am hard of hearing and sleep is not a problem with noise going on.

In the U.K. the police would have been round by now to sort the situation out - we've had that before, But here, no-one seems to care, or unable to do anything about it. A pair of bolt cutters would sort the problem and release the dog from the steel enclosed front of the house.

Yes, this is down to bad owners of the dog and not down to the dog itself. After all, the dog does not understand why it has been left alone for so long.

Maybe the dogs hungry. Maybe you got something left in the fridge. If the owners are Thai, they wouldn't mind I guess.

But they would mind the bolt cutters.

I had a young female dog neighbor, i used to give her leftovers and buy bones at BigC,

my only regret is i didnt buy a bone for her the day she was run over by a car,

perhaps she would have been busy gnawing on that instead of getting in the way.

She had a pretty miserable life.

First get a hose pipe and cool the dog down, the poor thing must be boiling. If the thai neighbours are not happy with the situation, get them to act or phone the cops.

Great idea to spray the dog with water. The Thai neighbours will likely call the police to say a foreigner is abusing the dog & police will respond

It is sad the way dogs are treated, or should I say, mistreated here. But, because the dogs are basically wild and unspayed they just breed and breed. Yesterday I saw a bitch in heat with about 10 male dogs stringing along behind her. The Alpha dog was in the lead with all the lesser dogs behind, with a tiny bit of fluffy something trailing along in the rear.

Sri Lanka (Buddhist nation) also has a huge problem with stray/soi dogs as the animal rights groups had lobbied for the cessation of dog control programs, I believe the same issue in Thailand. Last year the Sri Lanka government overturned the ruling & permitted a culling program as up to 2,000 people a month were being bitten and hospitalised; don't know the stats in Thailand.

I'll have to see what food I can push through the bars and grille that cover the front of the house. Certainly no way to get water through except to pour it as the gaps are that small.

Currently still no signs of life (human) at the house and by the time I went to bed early hours of this morning, there were no lights on and their truck was still not home. I'm hoping they are not away too long and with all that noise I'd be surprised if someone does not give the dog something nasty to keep it quiet.

Security on the estate obviously do not care.

Oh for something like the RSPCA here.

Even the local soi dogs get fed here, as I believe they do in most places. They would have been better letting the dog run loose, I think. Better still to have taken it with them.

My 7 yo son just returned from visiting school mates in the back sois, reported he got bit by a soi dog, hurt a lot of crying but no sign of broken skin.

His nanny claims they put the dog down but personally I doubt it. Gave her some more detailed guidance on watching them more closely when out and about, will have to investigate rabies vaccine for little kids I guess?
