Heading to Surat thani from phangan tomorrow, with a flight the day after. I was hoping to stay near the airport or someplace cheap but was having trouble finding something online. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations

I stayed at the Wangtai in town. The thai airways staff stay there so there is reliable transport to the airport. Food reasonable goood breakfast. Clean. Nice walk along the river just outside.

You can also stay at diamond Plaza , very reasonable rates or Thousand Island resort, both close to Tesco & Central Plaza, can catch minibus to airport connection.

I would second 1000 island resort nice place with jungle style pool. Oh I wish I was there now ...............
