What should the cost of a Auto Transmission service be?

Its for a 1996 Toyota Corolla.

Depends what you want from a ''service''. Most autos have an internal oil/fluid filter which rarely needs changing as an auto is a contained environment not open to crap. To get to it you must remove the sump. BUT, first empty the fluid into a clean container and inspect for crap, if crap present then need filter, if clean doesn't need. Soooooooo, it could be the cost of an oil change or a lot more work.

Not anything to worry about. The trans does hold a lot of fluid but normal drain cannot replace all the fluid unless the garage has a total evacuation system as Toyota main agent has.
