I have had no problem in Kl but will be in Uk. where my passport issued

I have used Cardiff many years ago and read Hull can do by post?

Other reports see to indicate full year multi is harder

I may be in Paris and Amsterdam if these are noticeably easier

Is it better at the embassy in London.

While I will be in Uk 2 months will need passport for trip to Canada

How long is the turn around and fees

I can do without the pasport

Also be handy to have any extra docs required

At Kl

I took Bank statement with 400k plus in Oz bank

Invite from wife and

Copies

Wedding Cert and her ID card

Thanks in anticpation

Actually I have never received an EMS delivery in Bangkok without providing a signature - although it does not have to be the person in address.

whistling.gif Should be no problem.

In October 2010 I recieved my multi entry 1 year Non O visa from Hull.

And I was an American, holding a U.S. passport, and living at that time in Greece with my legal residence as Greece.

I called the consulate in Hull and got a list of all the documents they wanted.

Then when I retired in October 2010 I stopped in England on my way back to the U.S.

Took the train from London to Hull with my documents.

Had made a 9 a.m. appointment with the consulate.

Turned in my documents and the application, paid the fee, and by 1030 a.m I walked out of the consulate with my new visa in my American passport.

Most of the waiting time was for the consulate's signatures on the approval forms.

Sat n their waiting area with Tea and biscuits for the cosulates' signature most of that time.

It was just that easy.

Just have all the documents they ask for. They are very friendly and helpful.

Just call then first, Get the list of what documents they want, and have them ready.

If you pick up the visa in person (like I did) just be on-time for your appointment.

If you are late for an appointment, they they will move you to the end of the queue.

Appointments take precedence over walk in customers.... so if you make an appointment .... be there on-time.

I understand it is a little harder now to get a multi-entry 1 year non O visa......but I'm told it is still possible as long as you have the documents they want.

You can get a multiple entry o-visa in Savannakeht Laos with no proof of income.

A bit of a trek from Canterbury.

I also heard reports here that 400k was required by some.

The money is not an issue it is getting a full year without having to tie up funds in a thai bank

If you are a OZ citizen you could do a statutory declaration to prove 40K baht income for an extension of stay if you have savings that exceed the equivalent of 480K baht.

Almost all posts for Savannakhet have been that no financial proof was needed. The reports that said otherwise were done by a visa run service.
