From something called dDreams, an international
online travel booking site: http://www.edreams.com/best-airports/

Best Airports of 2012

Every year we present the results of our study
on the best airports in the world and the 2012 rankings are in. The list of
best airports is based on thousands of eDreams customer reviews from those who
passed through the terminals of these airports during 2012. Customers were
asked to rate various aspects of each airport including their services,
shopping, restaurants, bars and waiting lounges.

The Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand
was the overall winner. Out of 5 total points the airport's average rating was
4.61. Many customers commented favorably about the modernity of the facilities,
the overall comfort level and cleanliness, the excellent treatment received,
and the express access to Bangkok city center on the airport's railway link
network.

Congratulations to the Suvarnabhumi Airport in
Bangkok as it has been named eDreams' best airport of 2012. The Suvarnabhumi
Airport, its name meaning "The Golden Land", began operating in
September of 2006 and is a piece of architectural art in itself. The airport
was designed by Helmut Jahn and is a wave-like structure that in 2012 was
Instagram's most photographed location in the world. The airport has the fourth
largest single building terminal in the world making room for its ample selection
of services.

END

This bit of fantasy has found its way into the
main stream media here in Thailand and needless to say A of T is ecstatic,
pointing to this major accomplishment. I for one say this is questionable

information from nothing more than a blog survey where an unknown number of

participants if any were involved in some form of voting. I'm calling a BS on this one.

Wow, another award for the infamous "swampy" and another big thumbs up for Thailand, yay!! :)

Now, as I asked before when questioning a similar award, who are they paying, and how much is it costing to get all of these fake/dubious awards approved? Is it coming out of the taxpayers pockets?

Either they paid a tidy sum for it, or had a load of employees hitting the Vote button for months on end as a condition of being paid their salaries.
