Thai Language On American Websites

Featured Replies

In the last couple of day when I enter websites like paypal and filezilla they appear on my computer in Thai language. Firefox has been in Thai for longer then that.

Translation pop ups don't pop here. No way to translate or to hit a button for language change.

Have anybody notice it besides me?

go to regional settings in windows and choose america instead of thailand

Hi NHJ,

Thank you so much for your help.

I went there and changed everything possible. That includes formats, location, languages.

Restarted the computer after each action, again comes up again in Thai language.

Any other solution?

I don't have that problem on my notebook.. I bought it in the US.. however, a couple of Thai monks also have notebooks bought in Thailand, and I have the same problem on theirs. I tend to believe it's a language problem hard wired into their notebooks. I haven't been able to change their's either. coffee1.gif

there's no hardwired language into a computer, the issue here is that the browser firefow and other programs have been installed when the region was thailand and they retain this setting.

solution is to change this into the program or reinstall it, for firefox here's the solution : To change Firefox's default language, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Content, and click the "Choose" button under the Languages heading.

go to add-ons for firefox

due a search for "google translate for firefox 2.1.0.3"

install in firefox

use it all the time

I tend to believe it's a language problem hard wired into their notebooks.

Easy fix then. Go in with a soldering gun, move around some jumpers, flip a few dip switches and you're all set. wink.png
