I have a guy friend who is coming to stay in Bangkok for about 6 months

He cannot speak thai

Can someone please recommend a foreigner friendly apartment where there are some other foreigners staying, under 8000 baht per month

Bangkok is large city you should precise what area. If you google you can find many many links as http://www.thaiapartment.com/index.asp a good one is eg. http://www.apartmentsinbkk.com/home.html you should take care the building is close new otherwise you risk be in a dark hole ... !

If you know where you want live it make sense too drive around with motorbike because have many apartment buildings not listed and without WEB page
