Have sprung a leak, where the big crimp connects the rubber hose to the steel pipe.

Can be repaired or needs a (I suspect expensive) new hose assembly?

Find a hydraulic hose company if oe part expensive they will make one up just had one made approx 25cms with fittings under 400 baht ex fitting etc.

What you have is called a weeper. New hose will sort it out.

I suspect I'd be the one weeping if I went to Honda for a new hose assembly, so I think I'll try post #3's suggestion first...

You can have it re-crimped . Doubt if the hose has deteriorated.

Not necessarily, plenty of Honda parts shops around, no real need to go to the dealer, I'd check around first..
