Teachers License Exams #11

Featured Replies

How did you guys find them?

I personally thought that the English was significantly better than previous ones.

Although the morning exam yesterday wasn't too great, and the first 50 questions of yesterday's afternoon exam were terrible. But on the whole, I thought the rest was quite readable (mostly just grammar mistakes which could be easily translated).

Of course I still thought that a lot of the questions were quite ambiguous. The last exam made me think of a survey on our opinions at times, rather than questions with a right/wrong answer. However, I only had headaches on the first day, and am optimistic about the results of exams 1, 3 and 4 (less so for exam 2 lol).

Either way, I'm interested in if other people also felt that they had improved or not (could be that I've simply grown more familiar with translating tinglish into English lol)

i only did test 2 Saturday.. did your paper have 3 or 4 repeated questions? 11 and 29 was one. I thought the questions were ok.. but boy does it depend on who's point of view..

Krusapa the leaders of teachers in Thailand having spelling mistakes and repeated questions in their tests... classic... Kinda reminds me of the Thai kids O-net testslaugh.pngbiggrin.png

In checking the validity of a test, designers will often ask the same question twice, but in two different ways, once so that it elicits a "yes" response and once so it elicits a "no" response. I am guessing that what you experienced was something different than that, though.

Yep. Exactly the same questions. I checked

Yep had the same question 2x in test 2 and I think in test 3 as well. Although I can't remember the numbers.

One of the questions in test 2, 76 I think, was a complete mess. We were given options 1, 2, 3, 4 and told to put them in order based on x y etc (I didn't really understand the question).

Answers were a) 1,2,3 B) 2,3,4 c) 3,4,5 d) 4,5,1 e) 5,1,2. Not sure how they got number 5 lol, but someone said they had exactly the same question the year prior! With the same mistake lol

Let's hope the best. I read that the results will be published somewhere in June.
