Lumpini Park Bangkok

Featured Replies

Nice - but I always find the parks in Bangkok too hot to really enjoy them . I think they called that Lizard 'Hia' which I beleive is a term of abuse - similar to 'khwai'.

Actually it is called by the Thais as "Nam Tua" went called correctly. Many Thais don't know the correct name. It's scientific name is "Varanus Salvator macromacul atus", Although it looks like many other Asian monitor lizards, this species is only native to Thailand. They can grow to 9 feet and the they can be very aggressive.
