(does everyone get a biography written half way through their career these days?)

You'd be surprised how passionate some fans are about their players, any players as long as in their team.

I thought Gerrard was a great read

Audio book wasn't quite as good though.

Just started Warnocks biography, i believe, 4 chapters or so in ,and its ok, neither really entertaining or totally boring.

Exactly. As I keep on saying, if you are not interfering with play, <deleted> are you doing on the pitch.

'Moyes wont want to let rooney go thats for sure.'

Boll****.]

As eloquent as ever single pot,

despite all the speculation and Rooney throwing his toys ect ect, Rooney is a top draw, very versatile footballer and IMO still one of the best/top players in the prem, in a poor season, maybe playing deeper or wider will still get you ? 20ish ? If asked i think that every prem manager, would like to have that in their squad, given it's his first season I'm sure he's an option moyes would sooner have than not have. but you think not, why? .and dont speel me the 'unfulfilled potential' line and he's a pain, moyes has known hin since he was 10ish!!!

Relaptionship with Moyes is not good, Rooney is clearly not happy at United and United are looking around.

There again I can't see mr and mrs Rooney being happy in Paris either so maybe he will stay cos I can't see Real Madrid buying him. Maybe Chelsea? Who bl**** knows til the end of August.

Now there's talk that Chelsea has the inside track for Cavani.

We don't want that to happen.

Couldn't agree more MrBoj. Nearly as bad as if he went to United. Maybe worse, seeing as how I hate Chelsea so.

If Cavani does go to Chelsea, or RM, and if City loses Isco, then we'll still have some loot to spend elsewhere. It would be a shame if Isco decides on RM, but not the end of the world. Its not as if our midfield is weak. More money available for the striker that I think is more important anyhow. There will still be plenty of talent out there for the taking, and I'm not convinced that Cavani is worth the huge transfer fee.

I agree about Cavani not being worth that money but he's bladdy good and I don't mind him going to RM but I don't want him going to our domestic competitors.

I'm still crossing my fingers on Isco but it's looking less likely now.

You'll end up with flat top or hannibal.

Mark my words! biggrin.png

I'll bite Smokie. Hannibal I got, but "flat top" ? Rooney ?

Now there's all kinds of talk that Rooney will stay. If he had any cojones he'd get out of town. Is he going to demand from Moyes that he won't be exiled to some penny ante midfield position ? Is Moyes prepared to give that guarantee ?

According to Tony Adams, Rooney wouldn't be able to handle the bright lights of London.

seems muuray boy aint gonna do the 'norm' foreign manager 1st season in the prem bollack drop, aka vb and seems like the man city new boys is about to do, of doing a season with 2 strikers

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/

I ve heard differing reports on this guy, cant remember which way around it is, either he's brilliant with back to goal and very average facing goal or visa versa, any way the chavs have a good eye for expensive strikers clap2.gif lets hope they keep it up.

A mate tells me that a rumour doing the rounds of the football nutters at his call centre is that Arsenal are bidding for David Villa in addition to Higuain. I would put that in the bin were it not for the fact similar rumours coming from him have burst forth as genuine (Beeb, Guardian etc) confirmed interest half of the time. I would have thought that Wenger would want Giroud plus Higuain (or Villa) plus another young up-and-coming, rather than 3 front-liners.

I think it's possible that because of the nature of the transfer market with many deals falling through, a lot of managers are hedging their bets.

we will only know the final squad line ups when the teams are announced on day 1 of the EPL.

Maybe Ancelotti will do better at Real if it's Torres you are referring to.

Looking forward to seein Jose's team line up.

Jogo Bonito as they say in Portugese.

you still in the boozer single? ancellottti?? i was referring to the 'seeming' current trend and mistake in my book' that 'newish' foreign managers to run with 2 main strikers aka avb and maybe the new man city boss, augmenting them with a supposedly packed goal-scoring midfield, and

then to Chelsea's piss poor record of big money striker signings aka shevchenko,

. As i said in a prev post, i was listening to really well respected euro pundit and he gave enuf room to believe that cavana would/could soon be found out in the prem.

where the f u get that from?, its an observation not a statement for or against anyone or anything, murry boys seems to preparing to run with more than 2 strikers and you've got a poor record with large money strikers. torres chevy and a few others. funny one of the other ones that has gone down as a 'f up', kesman, would/could well suit your/ the current style.
