Hi all, l'm moving to Wichinburi in Petchabun and was wondering if there are any other expats, in and around the area who'd like to meet up now and then for few beers and chinwag.

I know there's a few that meet up at the market once a week and wondered if theres anyone else out there that plays golf, mountain biking or goes into Petchabun every now and then for a few light ales??

All the best, burnsie..

There 's a golf society in Phu Toei (PIGS). A membership of two currently but we play golf every week. If on Facebook have a look at Battle Horse ex pat golf society. Those farangs meet about every day in WB market, a Belgium guy runs a good bar there, keeps the draft Leo in good order.

The chicken is at Ban Sam Yaek which is the intersection on route 21, not Wichien Buri town. Its a rip off price wise and is there for all the rich Bangkokians going home.

WB town itself is full of good food places.

Expecting to move to Wichian in the near future. The group of friendly men who meet regularly during the week at the local market have wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on. They have made my many visits to the town all the more memorable and I am sure they could assist with any questions you care to ask on any subject you care to ask. Have a beer for me from the Belgium bar owner. I am hoping to get up there in mid June and share a cold beer with the fello's at the market.

Well made the move, all is good, got my daughter into primary school, wife's happy to be closer to the family enjoying the slower pace of life and met a couple of decent farangs, can't believe how cheap it is to rent up here, haven't got round to having a draft Leo yet, think I'll wander up today or tomorrow, give me a shout when you next in town.

Cheers
