Wholesale Prawn Market

So, the Farm has harvested their prawns ... what are their options for sale?

Sometimes the wholesale buyer comes to the Farm, but I've not witnessed that yet.

The road into the Farm is so poor, it would have to be something special for the wholesaler to visit.

There is the Large Fish Market ... but that's in Central Bangkok at this hour, when the Prawns are ready to be sold, about 7.30 - 8am the peak hour traffic deters you.

So, maybe about 20mins down the road is the local Wholesale Prawn Market

I'm a bit more restricted in what I can capture as these people don't know me and it's important that they 'keep face' ... you know how it is ...

More Sorting ...

I liked this ladies attitude. Actually I've been there a few times now with the Farm Family and probably one of a few, if not the only Farang visitors they get, so hopefully they started to get used to me.

Time for the sorters to do their work ... so there is waiting.

You learn to be patient in Thailand ... there is always lot's of waiting.

This is the two of us ... having been up before Dawn harvesting

We pulled up OK I reckon ... but apparently I need a shave

as she reminds me in the clip below.
