I will be going to France as an exchange student later this year. I would like ask any of you who has had experience in France or anywhere around Europe for some advice.

What kind of stuff should i be bringing there? ( I will be staying in a University dorm - ESC Rouen)

Moreover, what kind of documents do i need to apply for visa? I already researched on its website and it says that i have to translate some of the documents, which ones in particular??

Also, which kind of visa do i need to go to the Schengen countries? (I heard that i need a residence permit or something)

If I were you I would seek help from the French Embassy.

Further: is this study in English? If you don't read/write/speak French it would be extremely difficult.

I will be going to France as an exchange student later this year.
Surely the people organising the exchange should be able to advise you on visas etc., if not actually organise them for you!
